Barbara by jmschichtel Barbara by jmschichtel
Love the 1990 version of Night of the Living Dead, and kind of have a crush on Patricia Tallman ;) so I guess thios was inevitable (though I've been trying to get as piece I was happy with for like two years now so I came up with this sort of art nouveau Alphonse Mucha sort of poster. I like how it came too, I may do one of these for each Dead film. Love to hear your thoughts.

I just really like your composition/use of framing elements and limited color in this. Can't wait to see you do more of this series.

art nouveau practically designs itself haha.

Here's what i'm thinking as of now:
Dawn of the Dead - Peter - "When there's no more room in hell."
Day of the Dead - Bub - "We don't have enough ammunition to shoot them all in the head."
Land of the Dead - Cholo - "I always wanted to see how the other half lives."

That's where I'm at for sure I'm also considering:
Night of the Living Dead(1968) - Barbara - "They're coming to get you Barbara."
Diary of the Dead - Tracy -"Don't Mess with Texas!"

Don't how many will wind up getting done but as of now that's the plan.

I liked the 1990 remake, enjoy the 60's one more, but the remake at least knew WHAT it was supposed to be. A true remake, maybe with a couple differences, but still a true remake.

O I'm a huge fan of all the dead movies and the original NOTLD is great, I think the reason I like the 1990 version so much aside from Pat Tallman and Tony Todd is the fact that it was one of the greatest remakes in movie history, truly just an update of the 60's version.

Agreed, i did wish they could have done the same with the "Friday The 13th" remake (Which i did enjoy, even with it's flaws.). But hey, beggars can't be choosers. Right? Oh and if you're gonna do more, maybe do one of the Land Of The Dead with Tom Savini as the Machete Zombie (Aka his character from the original Dawn Of The Dead)

most of the remakes are hit and miss, they have their moments but miss the bullseye and some miss the whole target. personally i'd be inclined towards chollo just cuz he has the great "I've always wanted to see how the other half lives" line that would work really well for one of these but it's possible, Big Daddy would also be quickly recognized I think.
